Web browser functions like those trace their roots back more than a decade, and the feature - first found in a top browser in 2005 - spread quickly as one copied another, made tweaks and minor improvements. I am currently running with the Diagnostic Tracking Service disabled, which apparently does not affect the collection of error data (as it was disabled before I tried the above tests), but hopefully will prevent sending this data anywhere but to the Reliability Monitor.Private browsing. So I cleared it again, and so far (a few hours), no error messages. So, as far as I can tell, “clearing” the RM data did not really delete it, and it came back on the next RM refresh. However, some time later (within the hour), the same error messages re-appeared in RM.

I use Pale Moon 32-bit, latest version as my default browser.
